Lionel Messi Doesn't Want Striker At FC Barcelona?
FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly told his manager that this player does not suit the team's style.
Spanish forward Paco Alcacer has not played much since Ernesto Valverde took over at Barca, and shock reports suggest that Messi is using his influence in the dressing room to make sure things stay that way.
According to Diario Gol, the Argentine has told the boss that Alcacer's style of play does not suit Barca’s system.
Despite Barca being short of options in attack due to Ousmane Dembele's injury, the Spaniard has still struggled to get minutes under Valverde.
It is believed that Luis Suarez agrees with Messi regarding the Spanish forward's situation at the Catalan club.
The player, who is not injured at the moment, has featured just three times for Barca this season, playing just 122 minutes of football in total.
Alcacer joined the Spanish giants from Valencia for €30 million (R478 million) in 2016, and has represented the club on just 30 occasions so far, scoring eight goals.
