FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has spoken about his reported fallout with Argentina striker Paulo Dybala.
A few months ago, Dybala admitted that he struggles to play alongside the Barca attacker for the Albiceleste.
Many pundits and publications seemed to suggest at the time that Dybala was having a dig at Messi, but the 30-year-old has insisted he understood exactly what the Juve player was getting at.
"There is not much left to say other than that when he said we were incompatible I understood what he meant from the first moment," he told TyC Sports.
Messi also addressed Gonzalo Higuaín's struggles for Argentina.
"The World Cup final defeat in 2014? It hurt us a lot, as it hurt everyone," he added.
"Unfortunately, Higuaín suffered some bad moments but we are a team despite everything. We have grown accustomed to feeling certain things together."
Argentina take on Russia in an international friendly on Saturday, before they play Nigeria three days later.
