After Spanish giants FC Barcelona failed to bring Neymar back to Spain in this past window, superstar Lionel Messi has broken his silence on the saga, and questioned whether or not the club did enough to make the transfer happen.

It is common knowledge the Brazilian was desperate to return to the Catalans ahead of the 2019/20 campaign, but Paris Saint-Germain demanded too much money for his signature, amounts Barca could not afford.
It is understood that Messi, along with the president and other senior members of the first team, voiced their approval of the 27-year-old's potential return, and the Argentine has now admitted he did give the club his opinion on whether or not he would like to see his former teammate back at the Camp Nou.
"I would have loved it if Neymar came," he told Sport.
"Honestly, I don't know if the club has done everything possible to sign him, but I'm sure it's not easy to negotiate with PSG.
"I'm not disappointed. We have a spectacular squad and we can compete for everything, even without Ney.
"From a sporting standpoint, Neymar is one of the best in the world. And from a marketing and sponsorship standpoint, the club would have made a jump.
"We never asked for Neymar's signing, we simply gave our opinion. Am I in charge of things? It has been shown that is not the case."
Neymar played 185 matches in his first spell for Barca, scoring 105 goals and assisting a further 76 strikes.
