In doing so, Messi overtook Muller's tally of 565 goals for Bayern Munich, as reported by FCBarcelona.com.
Only the legendary Pele has netted now more goals for a single club than Messi has. The former Santos forward scored 643 times for the Brazilian outfit over 18 seasons, and therefore remains 77 goals ahead of Messi.
The 31-year-old has scored his 566 goals in 650 appearances for Barca, with 392 of them coming in LaLiga, 105 in the UEFA Champions League, 48 in the Copa del Rey, 13 in the Supercopa de Espana, five in the FIFA Club World Cup and three in the UEFA Super Cup.
