Paris Saint-Germain star Lionel Messi has been accused of disrespecting the club and manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Messi missed the last two fixtures after contracting the Coronavirus, but reports in France claim Pochettino only found out the positive test and his quarentining through a thrid party.
The reports add that the Argentine did not keep the club update with his status as he isolated back in his home country.
Former PSG midfielder says Messi's behaviour was shocking and he shouldn't be treated differently to any other player in the squad.
“You must always respect your coach, this is what I was taught in Clairefontaine," Rothen told Radio Montecarlo.
“The coach must be above everyone else, it does not matter if it is a star or a youth player – the boss must be the head of the time.
“Pochettino was not updated as to where Messi was, and that explains a lot of things.
“This is not a good thing and I think it is very shocking from Messi.”
