With Lautaro Martinez tipped to join FC Barcelona in the coming transfer window, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni believes his striker will improve working alongside Lionel Messi every day.

Reports in Spain suggest that the Inter Milan forward has agreed personal terms with the Catalan giants amid rumours he could leave Serie A in the next transfer window.
While the 22-year-old already plays with Messi on the international stage, Scaloni feels the former Racing Club forward would grow even more working daily with the 32-year-old in Spain.
"If he plays with Messi, he will be better, no doubt. Beyond that, he will have to fight for his position as he did in Inter," he told TyC Sports.

"We have to be calm. If he changes clubs, maybe he does not have to be the undisputed starter, and it will not affect us, as long as he has a number of minutes that allows him to be in form.
"He has a huge future but still has a lot to give."

Martinez joined Inter in July 2018, and has scored 25 goals and assisted a further five strikes in 66 matches across all competitions for the Nerazzurri since.
