With Kylian Mbappe reportedly closing in on a free-agent move to Real Madrid, the staggering figure he will be paid in signing-on fees has seemingly been revealed.
While the Frenchman's expected switch to Los Blancos will see Paris Saint-Germain not get a transfer fee, it seems the Spanish giants will still be forking out a lot of cash to secure his services.
According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Mbappe will sign a five-year deal in Madrid worth €25 million (R423 million) a year, with his contract set to include an enormous signing bonus.
It has been claimed the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner could receive up to €100 million (R1.6 billion) when he puts pen to paper at Real, which is reportedly what he will do in the coming days.
Mbappe recently admitted that his future is not far from being decided, with transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claiming the UEFA Champions League finalists are confident of landing his signature.
The forward went near to joining the LaLiga champions at the start of the season, but PSG rejected a couple of mammoth transfer bids despite the player having entered the final year of his deal in France.
At the weekend, Mbappe was handed the Ligue 1 Player of the Season prize for a third time at the UNFP Awards.
"I am very happy, I thank the whole club, my teammates, all those who work at the club, the staff, and of course the President," he said, according to PSG's official website.
"They helped me enormously to contribute to this third consecutive title. It is important to leave a mark, to always try to make history, and winning collective and individual titles is what counts for any football player. I have the chance to do it, so I am happy."
