Following his goal against Keagan Dolly’s Montpellier on Wednesday night in the French Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Kylian Mbappe has now overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo in the race for the European Golden Shoe, though he still trails Lionel Messi.

The 20-year-old was on target in PSG’s 5-1 win over Montpellier on Wednesday night, scoring his team’s last goal of the game.
Mbappe has now registered 20 league goals for the season, one more than Ronaldo has scored for Juventus in Serie A.
The Frenchman is now just two strikes behind FC Barcelona’s Messi, who has so far struck on 22 occasions in LaLiga.
Mbappe has scored 25 goals across all competitions for the French giants, while he assisted a further 14 strikes.
The young forward also recently made headlines for equalling Ronaldo Nazario’s record of scoring 14 UEFA Champions League goals.
