Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe, whose current contract comes to an end next year, has responded to his club president saying he will never leave for free.
Mbappe has finally broken his silence on his transfer saga with Real Madrid in the last transfer window, with the Spanish club attempting to make a last-ditch attempt to sign the forward.
PSG reportedly rejected bids from Los Blancos in the final days of the window, but Mbappe could leave the Parc des Princes as a free agent at the end of this season when his contract expires.
The forward has now revealed he was not too pleased to hear PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi saying he would not allow the French star to leave for free.
"It's scary when your president says 'He's never going to go for free'," Mbappe told RMC Sport.
"When I heard that, I swallowed hard and said to myself, 'So what's going to happen here?'"
The 2018 FIFA World Cup winner also quashed reports about rejecting a number of contract offers from the Ligue 1 giants.
"People said that I had refused six or seven contract offers and that I no longer wanted to talk to [PSG sporting director] Leonardo, but that's absolutely not true. They told me, 'Kylian now you talk with the president.'"
