Inter Milan director Giuseppe Marotta has finally broken his silence on the rumours linking Lionel Messi with a move to the San Siro.
Despite expressing his loyalty to the Catalan giants in the past, the Argentine has continuously been linked with the Nerazzurri.
There have been reports in Spain this month though claiming Messi could leave the club next year after freezing talks about a new deal due to the issues at the club.
While many teams would jump at the chance to sign the six-time Ballon d'Or winner, Morotta says the Serie A giants are not looking to sign the Barcelona star.
“It’s fantasy football," he said when asked by Football Italia about signing Messi.
“He certainly is not one of our objectives and I think he’s interested in continuing his football career in Barcelona.”

Morotta is hoping to keep Alexis Sanchez, who is on loan from Manchester United, but nothing has been agreed yet.
“It’s an anomalous issue, considering the Europa League can be changed by the absence of certain players," he added.
“The situation has not been resolved yet, we are working to at least keep hold of him for the entire Europa League.”
