After Neymar left FC Barcelona controversially two years ago, a former president of the club feels all it will take for the supporters to warm up to him again is a few goals on his Catalan club return.
The 27-year-old is believed to want to go back to Spain, where he spent four incredibly successful years with the Blaugrana.
While many believe the club's supporters would struggle to welcome him back considering how he left in 2017, ex-Barca chief Joan Gaspart feels all Neymar would need to do to win the Catalan faithful over is get among the goals as quickly as possible.
"In Neymar's case, there could be a question of pride which comes with the player admitting he was wrong to leave," Gaspart told Cadena SER.
"However, the board at Barca won't judge you on your pride, but whether you win titles or not.
"If Neymar arrives and scores three goals, the stadium will applaud him."
The Brazilian scored 105 goals and assisted a further 76 strikes in 186 matches for Barca between 2013 and 2017.
