With FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi scoring a remarkable hat-trick in the Champions League on Tuesday night, his boss has claimed he has never been another player like him.
Messi Sets Incredible UCL Hat-Trick Record
The Argentine opened the scoring against PSV Eindhoven in the first half with a superbly-struck free-kick, before adding two goals late in the second half to complete his hat-trick.
After Barca's 4-0 win over the Dutch side, during which his team dominated for the most part, manager Ernesto Valverde heaped praise on his captain.
"It's a blessing to have Messi in your side and a problem for anyone that doesn't," he said, according to Sport.
"He makes the extraordinary look routine. We're seeing something unique, something that hasn't been seen in many years. As a player in LaLiga, I don't remember anyone like him.
"And it will be tough to find anyone else like him in the future."
