Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been heavily linked with Manchester United following his recent controversial comments, and it has now been claimed that the Portuguese wants to work with Jose Mourinho again.
The 33-year-old shocked many when he hinted that he might be moving on from the club in this transfer window, during a post-match interview after Real's UEFA Champions League final win.
It has since been speculated that Ronaldo is unhappy due to the club not offering him a new and improved contract in Spain, something that was reportedly promised to him earlier in the 2017/18 season.
Former Los Blancos boss Fabio Capello has now given his view on the situation, and he believes the Portuguese forward wants a switch back to his former club in England, where he would reunite with Mourinho.
"I think that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to go back to Manchester, to play for United and being coached by his compatriot Mourinho," he told Sky Italia.
"Real Madrid would need to recover from Ronaldo's loss in terms of goals scored.
"The only available name at the moment is Robert Lewandowski."
Ronaldo played 164 games under Mourinho during the manager's stint in Spain, scoring 168 goals and assisting a further 49 strikes.
