Kevin-Prince Boateng has revealed that he had always backed Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in the world until he joined FC Barcelona and trained with Lionel Messi.
The Ghana international spent six months at the Camp Nou between January and June 2019.
Although he made just four appearances for the Blaugrana, he has now insisted that training with Messi has changed his mind in the Ronaldo-Messi debate.
"The six months at Barcelona were incredible," Boateng told DAZN.

"At first, I didn't believe it. I thought it was Espanyol who wanted me, not the real Barcelona!
"Training with Messi left me speechless. I had always said that Cristiano Ronaldo was the best in the world, but Messi is something else. He's not normal.
"While training with him, I felt inadequate for the first time in my career. He was doing incredible things. I felt like saying, 'I'm done, I'm going to quit playing!'"
Boateng has featured for four clubs since leaving Barcelona, first joining Sassuolo and then Fiorentina, before moving to Besiktas on loan. He now plays in Italy's Serie B with Monza.
