The Barca captain publicly slammed Bartomeu and his board after they blocked his exit from the club during the most recent transfer window.

The 33-year-old's words in September saw Barcelona members initiate a vote of no confidence against Bartomeu and his board.
It received more than 20 000 signatures, which ultimately led to the president and his board of directors' decision to step down this week.
Messi and his teammates were in Turin, Italy, for their UEFA Champions League match against Juventus when the news broke, with the Argentine said to be in good spirits upon hearing the latest development, according to Deportes Cuatro.
One of the Barcelona players reportedly even joked about putting champagne in the fridge in order to celebrate Bartomeu's resignation.
It is also claimed that Messi had not spoken personally to Bartomeu in months, while other high-profile players such as Gerard Pique also welcomed the resignation.
