With Real Madrid having announced the sensational sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, here is how they could line up with the superstar on their books.

The Los Blancos man joins the Serie A champions after they have also secured the signing of Emre Can from Liverpool on a free transfer.

It is expected that Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri will give the 33-year-old forward a starring role in his starting XI, which leaves Gonzalo Higuain's future at the club in doubt. Reports have linked the Argentine with Chelsea, but what might the rest of the team look like?

In goal, former Arsenal shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny is likely to be Juve's new No. 1 following Gianluigi Buffon's move to Paris Saint-Germain, while the three starting centre-backs are expected to be Medhi Benatia, Daniele Rugani and veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini.

New capture Joao Cancelo is likely to deployed in his natural right-wing-back position, while Alex Sandro could take his place on the left flank. However, the Brazilian has been heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United, and could still move on in this window.

Can, who joined Juventus on a free transfer last month, could very well be a first-team starter in his new club's midfield, where he might line up alongside his countryman Sami Khedira and Bosnian set-piece specialist Miralem Pjanic.

Ronaldo will presumably feature in a two-man attack next to Argentina star Paulo Dybala, who naturally drops deeper in order to create chances for the Bianconeri, which could benefit the Los Blancos man.

Like he has in recent years for Real and Portugal, Ronaldo could occupy the No. 9 role for the Italian side, which is where the aforementioned Higuain has played since his arrival at the club in 2016.

The former Manchester United star will certainly bring the Serie A side plenty of experience and many goals, following his 450 goals in 438 matches for Real.
