The 35-year-old netted twice for the Bianconeri but his goals were not enough, as Olympique Lyon got a crucial away goal to knock Juventus out on aggregate.
It was Ronaldo’s first UCL eilimination in the round of 16 since 2009/10 of the UCL and he missed out on the final knockout format of the competition in his home country Portugal.
As a consequence, Ronaldo was said to be disappointed and upset after the final whistle and even took his shirt off as he was walking into the tunnel.

He was first comforted by substituve Giorgio Chiellini and then seen shaking his head while making his way down the tunnel.
On a personal level, Ronaldo had reason to be proud after breaking Ferenc Hirzer’s 94-year-old record of most goals scored in a single campaign for Juventus with 37 strikes.
Maurizio Sarri, meanwhile, was proud of his side’s performance, saying they lost the tie in the first leg in Lyon.
"We played a great match,” the under-fire Juve coach said, as quoted by The Mirror.
"We gave it our all and tried everything.
"We believed it all the way to the end. We regret the first half in the first leg.
"We're disappointed, but there's nothing to say about tonight's performance."
