The debate as to who the better player between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo is has filled the headlines in recent years, and now Orlando Pirates defender Happy Jele has commented on the comparison.
The 31-year-old had an eye-opening interview with Soccer Laduma editor Vuyani Joni, which can be read in this week's edition, issue 1074.
Pirates' longest-serving player touched on many things, including his injury struggles and what head coach Milutin Sredojevic expects from him, in the in-depth interview, but also discussed who he favours between Messi and Ronaldo.
"I honestly don't think we should compare the two players because they are different," he told Soccer Laduma.
"What we need to do is celebrate them for the unique players they are, instead of comparing them. We are lucky to be alive to witness these two players.
"No two players are the same, and these guys are both super talented and great."
