Former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku bagged 35 goals across the previous calendar year for Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan, a tally that earned him third place and a spot above Lazio’s Ciro Immobile, who struck 34 times.
Following the Italian in fifth was Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Haaland, who enjoyed an incredible first year at the German giants.
The 20-year-old hit the back of the net on 33 occasions from just 32 matches in 2020, but where did the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Mohamed Salah and Lionel Messi finish?
Alone in the list as the only midfielder was Manchester United’s impressive No. 18 Bruno Fernandes, whose 26 strikes saw him finish the previous calendar in eighth spot.
