According to Sport, a few Blaugrana players will see their salaries being restructured ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
It has been claimed that these times usually bring about some annoyance for some players, who could potentially become unsettled due to their teammates being given bigger increases than them.
It is now being said that midfielder Sergio Busquets has received a promise from club president Josep Maria Bartomeu that he will be offered a bigger salary.
The aforementioned Spanish publication has reported that when the 29-year-old signed his last deal in 2016, Bartomeu made him the promise that if the club offered anyone a contract on a "second salary level", Busquets would be given a deal that matches theirs.
It is believed that Suarez is on the second salary level, while the likes of Ousmane Dembele and Coutinho could join him next season, as per the report.
Club superstar Messi is believed to be the only player on the first salary level, with it being believed the 30-year-old earns £500 000 (R8.4 million) a week.
Total Sportek has claimed that Busquets earns about £180 000 (R3 million) a week in Spain, but that could soon rise due to Bartomeu's reported promise.
