FC Barcelona Star: Neymar Exit Made Us Stronger

A key member of FC Barcelona's first team feels that Neymar's move to Paris Saint-Germain has improved the Catalan club, despite the Brazilian being considered by many to be one of the world's best players.

Reports: Neymar Lost Temper In PSG Dressing Room

Many speculated that Barca were in for a tough time when the 26-year-old quit the Blaugrana in August, but after 24 LaLiga games without Neymar, they are still unbeaten.

The likes of Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele and Yerry Mina have been brought in since the superstar's departure, and goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen feels the club is even stronger than before.

"The quality of Ney, you can't explain it," he told ESPN.

"Because he was super important for us, as a person (and) in the team, as a footballer.

"Now, everyone needs to understand what he did because maybe he wants to win something else, also personally. His decision only he knows but in the end we had to compensate all this and this is not easy because he had so much quality, but we did it in a different way and now we have a very, very strong team.

"I think we've got some new players who have made us even stronger and hopefully they feel good and comfortable in the team and they adapt very fast."

The Catalans are currently seven points clear at the top of LaLiga, and are set to face Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 on Tuesday night.
