An FC Barcelona star has said he would be glad to see the back of Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, who has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu.
There are reports suggesting that the 33-year-old wants to leave Los Blancos, with some media agencies linking him with Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain or a possible return to Manchester United.
Croatia midfielder Ivan Rakitic has now confessed that it would be beneficial for the Blaugrana should the Portugal international end up leaving the Madrid club.
"I find it difficult to imagine that he will leave," Rakitic said, as quoted by Marca.
"However, football moves quickly, and many things happen. He's the player that makes the difference at Real Madrid.
"And, if he goes, I would be glad, I'm not going to lie. As a colleague, though, I hope he makes the best decision. As with Zinedine Zidane, I wish him the best. And if he goes, well, better (for Barcelona)."
Rakitic will be at the 2018 FIFA World Cup with Croatia, who have been drawn in Group D alongside Argentina, Iceland and Nigeria.
