Representatives from PSG and Barca met for crunch talks on Tuesday, and although no agreement was reached, Barcelona's delegation reportedly left with a positive feeling.
Blaugrana sporting director Javier Bordas stated that a deal is "closer” than before, and many sources close to the parties believe the transfer could still happen before the window shuts in 2 September.
PSG reportedly value Neymar at €170 million (R2.9 billion) and would prefer to get the whole amount up front, but Barca are struggling to meet this demand after already spending €239 million (R4.1 billion) on Antoine Griezmann, Frenkie de Jong, Neto and Junior Firpo.
The Catalan giants would prefer a deal in instalments or including players, and their reported final offer has now seemingly been revealed by Sport and L'Equipe.
Both publications have claimed that the LaLiga side has offered €130 million (R2.2 billion) plus the transfer of Ivan Rakitic, and Ousmane Dembele on loan.
Sport claimed that Rakitic would accept a move to PSG, while Dembele's agent has so far insisted his client does not want to leave the Camp Nou in this window.
It is understood that PSG would be prepared to accept the deal after Neymar told them he wants to return to his former side, but it remains to be seen whether or not Barca can convince Dembele of the move.
