It has been claimed that, in the latest transfer window, FC Barcelona neglected the chance to sign Kylian Mbappe, who wanted to play alongside five-time Ballon d'Or winner Lionel Messi.
A former football agent with close connections to Barca, Josep Maria Minguella, has claimed he offered the Catalan giants the opportunity to sign the Paris Saint-Germain star just a few months ago.
The LaLiga champions apparently did not get back to him, despite the player's apparent eagerness to join Ernesto Valverde's side and link up with Messi.
"On the 5th August, I offered Mbappe to Barca," he told La Porteria, as cited by Sport.
"They didn't respond and now I believe they committed an error which will impact Barcelona for the next 10 years.
The former agent also claimed the PSG star would have jumped at the chance to sign for the Catalan giants.
"His father told me that Kylian would've loved to have played alongside Leo Messi."
Mbappe has started this season like a house on fire, scoring 13 goals and assisting a further six strikes in 13 matches across all competitions for Les Parisiens.
