Maradona passed away last Wednesday due to cardiac arrest, and after scoring to put Barca 4-0 ahead against Osasuna on Sunday, Messi removed his jersey to show off a Newell's Old Boys shirt with No. 10 on the back.
His actions were warmly received by the crowd, with many feeling it was a fitting dedication to one of the greatest players of all time.

However, Spanish outlet Sport has now reported that the Blaugrana are set to be fined €3 000 (R54 000), which is in line with article 91 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code.
FIFA prohibits celebrations that involve removing a shirt, and although many people might believe that this situation is a unique one, it is reported that there are no exceptions to the rule.
