Barca Delaying Neymar's PSG Debut?
FC Barcelona Delaying Neymar's Paris Saint-Germain Debut?
Neymar was unveiled at Paris Saint-Germain last week but is yet to make his debut for them, and FC Barcelona are reportedly behind the delay.
After being presented as a PSG player on 4 August, fans expected to see Neymar in action in the club's first league match of the season, against Amiens on Saturday.
However, it was reported that the player was unable to play as a transfer certificate was not sent to Ligue 1's administrators by their La Liga counterparts in time.
Neymar, who was expected to play against Guingamp this Sunday, could now also reportedly miss that clash too.
According to Marca, Barca are refusing to finalise the move as they are yet to receive the €222 million (R3.46 billion) transfer fee for the player's services.
The report claimed that the Catalan club will not pass on the international transfer certificate until they have secured the payment for the deal.
If Neymar does miss PSG's next match, he could make his first appearance for his new club against Toulouse at the Parc des Princes on 20 August.
