Report: Barca Star Makes Decision On Man Utd Links
Following Ajax Amsterdam's last Eredivisie game of the 2021/22 campaign on Sunday, the 52-year-old said he would not be joining their end-of-season celebrations as he has a lot of work to do ahead of his United reign.
Ten Hag's appointment by the Red Devils was announced late in April amid a difficult run of form under interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who is set to step into a consultancy role at the club.
In a recent interview, the outgoing Ajax boss revealed that he would be starting his new job early, and suggested that it is a part of his plans to make 37-year-old Ronaldo work in his system.
"From tomorrow (Monday), my focus will be on United, and I will, of course, get deep into things there," he said, according to the Metro.
"What I have to say about it is, the detailed analysis still has to begin, I still have to work with the team, but let me be clear that, at United, there are a lot of good players around.
"We have to make them function as a team, but definitely Ronaldo, he is a giant."
With one more game remaining until United's season officially ends, Ronaldo has scored 24 goals in 38 matches across all competitions.
