With Eden Hazard reportedly poised for a €100 million (R1.6 billion) move to Real Madrid, a Premier League legend has had his say on the Chelsea superstar, claiming that he will reach Lionel Messi's level in years to come.
The 28-year-old Blues superstar is set to bring an end to his seven-year stay at Stamford Bridge after revealing that he has made a decision on his future and has communicated the decision with Maurizio Sarri's side.
Despite not being able to match the incredible goal-scoring numbers of five-time Ballon d'Or winners Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi throughout the years, former Liverpool striker Kevin Keegan claims that that Hazard is the "Messi of tomorrow".
"I think Eden Hazard is the best player, 100 per-cent," he told Express.
“He’s the Lionel Messi of tomorrow and he’s almost there now.
Keegan then discussed Hazard’s possible move to Zinedine Zidane’s side and claimed that he would no doubt strengthen Los Blancos.
"I think he will leave Chelsea and probably go to start the revival at Real Madrid.
"He’s still young, can change a game and is the one player who really gets me off my seat.
"When he picks it up, he can go past two or three players and I’d have him above all of the others.”
Hazard has made a total of 51 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions this season, finding the back of the net 19 times and registering 16 assists.
