Manchester United legend David Beckham has seemingly pleaded with Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at the Red Devils ahead of next season.
The ex-England captain left United for Real Madrid in 2003, in the same transfer window that saw the Premier League club replace him with a teenage Ronaldo, who immediately assumed Beckham's No. 7 jersey.
After six years of success under legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson, the Portugal international joined the Spanish giants himself, where he continued his upward trajectory and widely became known as one of football's all-time greats.
While his return to the club has not particularly gone according to plan, Beckham believes Ronaldo staying at United next season would be terrific news for supporters.

"Obviously Cristiano is one of the best players over the last 15 years with Leo [Lionel Messi]," he told Sky Sports.
"To see him stay on, hopefully staying on at United, is important for the fans.
"I think it's important to him, we all know how much Man Utd means to him and he's still doing what he does best - scoring goals and creating.
"That's what Cristiano does and even at his age, to be doing what he's doing, is really incredible so hopefully it continues and hopefully he stays for another year or two."
