Paris Saint-Germain star Dani Alves has commented on claims his club teammate Kylian Mbappe can be the next Lionel Messi.
Mbappe Sends Golden Shoe Message To Messi
Since bursting on to the scene almost three seasons ago, Mbappe has made huge strides in becoming not just one of the world's best young players, but one of the world's best players too.
The 20-year-old has enjoyed yet another fine campaign, during which he has scored goal after goal, but his colleague and former FC Barcelona star Alves has cooled down talk that Mbappe is the next Messi.
"There's no one like Messi," the Brazilian told ESPN.
"Yes, he's a rocket, but he can go even farther than that.
"He's very young, and when he grows up and develops, he can be a whole lot more of a player than he already is right now."
European Golden Shoe Update, Can Mbappe Catch Messi?
With one more Ligue 1 game to play still, Mbappe has scored 38 times and assisted a further 17 strikes in 42 matches for PSG so far this season.
