Juventus signed Cristiano Ronaldo for €100 million plus add-ons, but, at the time, the 33-year-old's favourite shirt number was held by Juan Cuadrado. The club-record signing has now revealed what his teammate said when he asked him for Juve's No. 7 jersey.

Ronaldo joined the Serie A giants on 10 July for a fee of €100 million (R1.69 billion), plus another €17 million (R288 million) in add-ons.
Many wondered whether or not the Portuguese international would get the No. 7 shirt that was held by Cuadrado, but a day later the Colombian confirmed on Twitter that he would give Ronaldo his shirt number.
The 33-year-old has now opened about about the brief chat he had with Cuadrado about the number.
"You know, it's my favourite number and I spoke with the club at the beginning, and, of course, I spoke with (Juan) Cuadrado because he was number 7," Ronaldo told DAZN, who recently announced him as their new global brand ambassador.
"He said, 'No problem. It will be a pleasure for me to give you my number 7', my shirt. So, it was good.
"I'm surprised, in a good way, as the club helped me and, of course, Cuadrado, he took it very well.
"So I'm really glad to continue with my number 7."
Cuadrado has since taken up the No. 16 shirt, and both players started in Juve's dramatic 3-2 opening day win over Chievo last weekend.
