Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who has lifted two trophies in his debut season in Italy, recently set another incredible European record.

The 34-year-old was named Serie A's Most Valuable Player (MVP) by Lega Serie A this past weekend, after helping his side lift the domestic league and Supercoppa Italiana titles.
Ronaldo has scored 21 goals in the 2018/19 Serie A campaign so far, with one gameweek still to go, and assisted another 11 strikes. In addition, he also scored the only goal in Juventus's Supercoppa Italiana victory over AC Milan.
As a consequence, he was named the league's MVP, becoming the first player in history to be named the best player in England, Spain and Italy.
He was named Most Valuable Player in LaLiga in 2012/13 – the only season this accolade was awarded – and LaLiga's Best Player in 2013/14, while he lifted the Premier League Player of the Season prize in 2006/07 and 2008/09.
Ronaldo is also still chasing the Serie A Golden Boot, which would make him the first player to win this accolade in England, Spain and Italy, but seems unlikely to win the Capocannoniere race in this campaign.
Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella currently sits on 26 strikes, five more than Ronaldo, with both players having just one game left to play.
