The new Serie A season begins later this month, but Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly already set to add another award to his collection.
It was a disappointing 2020/21 Serie A campaign for Juventus, who only managed to secure fourth spot on the final day of the season.
It was business as usual for Ronaldo, though, as he bagged 29 goals to clinch the Golden Boot award ahead of Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku.
According to Football Italia, the Portuguese forward will be the first recipient of the newly-named Paolo Rossi Award after finishing as the top scorer last season.
The award has been named after the 1982 World Cup winner after he passed away at the age 64 last year, and the trophy will include 29 diamonds for each goal scored by the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo's future in Turin remains unclear as he heads into the final year of his contract, with the player still being linked with a move to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Since joining Juventus from Real Madrid in 2018, Ronaldo has registered an impressive 101 goals and 22 assists in 133 appearances for the Italian club.
