Cristiano Ronaldo has sent his Manchester United colleagues a message amid the team's poor run of form ahead of their UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night.
'Ronaldo Is Not Even Among The Top Five Players Of All Time'
Despite the latest transfer window being a strong one for the Red Devils, the side's recent string of disappointing results has left supporters hugely unsatisfied, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team having lost four of their past seven matches across all competitions.
United suffered a 4-2 defeat to Leicester City in the Premier League this past weekend, in a performance that has led to many questioning Solskjaer's long-term future at the English giants, where he has still three years remaining on his contract.
This has perhaps inspired Ronaldo to rally his colleagues ahead of their European meeting with Atalanta on Wednesday, with the 36-year-old feeling there is no place for complacency nor excuses.
"Our time is coming!" he wrote on Instagram, according to the Daily Star.
"We have to show what we are made of and the Champions League is the perfect competition to prove ourselves to the world.
"No excuses! Let's go!"
Ronaldo has scored five goals in eight matches across all competitions since his return to United, with his last registered strike for the club coming in September.
