Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was once seen as one of the best free-kick experts in football, but his recent free-kick record is quite shocking.

The 30-year-old has failed to score any of his last 51 free-kicks - a set piece drought which stretches over 10 months.
Last Sunday, Ronaldo again had two opportunities to finally end his drought, but his two efforts flew over the bar.
Out of his 51 free-kicks, 21 hit the wall, 14 were off target and 16 were saved by the goalkeeper or hit the posts - according to Mister Chips.
The FIFA Ballon d’Or winner scored his last free-kick goal against Bayern Munich in last season’s Champions League semi-final on 29 April 2014. His last La Liga free-kick dates back almost a year, where he scored on 26 March 2014 in Sevilla.
Ronaldo had to share his free-kick duties with Gareth Bale since the Welshman’s arrival, and the latter has a better conversation rate than the Portuguese.
While Bale scored one goal from a free-kick this season, all of Ronaldo’s attempts have failed to find the back of the net.
With other free-kick experts like Isco, Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez and Sergio Ramos in the squad, it might be time for Ronaldo to give away his free-kick duties for the better of the team.

However, despite struggling from free-kicks, Ronaldo remains one of the most prolific penalty takers - after scoring 55 of his 60 spot kicks for Los Blancos.
