Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo caught an emergency flight to Portugal on Tuesday after his mother reportedly suffered a stroke, and has since provided an update on her condition.
As per reports across Europe on Tuesday, the 35-year-old rushed to his mom's side after she was taken to hospital in his hometown of Funchal on the island of Madeira.
Ronaldo's mother, Dolores Aveiro, is believed to have suffered a stroke but appears to be in a stable condition, as per an update from the five-time Ballon d'Or winner himself.
After flying from Italy to Madeira to see his mom, the Bianconeri striker took to Twitter to thank fans for their kind messages of support.
Juve had been preparing for their Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan on Wednesday before the match was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus outbreak in Italy.
