Cristiano Ronaldo leaving Juventus for Manchester United makes Inter Milan favourites for the Serie A title, according to a former Italy star.
Juve sanctioned the sale of Ronaldo with a year left on his contract, but were only able to bring in Moise Kean as a replacement on deadline day.
Inter, meanwhile, have also been weakened after losing 2020/21 Serie A Player of the Season Romelu Lukaku to European champions Chelsea.
Even without the Belgium superstar, former Inter striker Christian Vieri feels his former team will go back-to-back after Ronaldo's departure.
"Who wins the Scudetto? Before Cristiano Ronaldo left I said: Juve attack stronger, Juve stronger," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
"Now I put Inter in front. I'm not convinced when I hear speeches like, 'Now Dybala, [Alvaro] Morata and [Federico] Chiesa will give more.'
"When Ronaldo leaves, there is no better choice, someone else will have to score the goals he scored.
"Kean? I don't think so, but you have to judge him after a whole championship."
