Former Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed the bet he lost with Juventus' manager following his missed spot-kick in his team's latest Serie A game.
The Portuguese is known to be lethal from the penalty spot, but was unable to convert his chance from 12 yards out in the Bianconeri's 3-0 win over Chievo on Monday night.
After the game, Ronaldo did not appear to be too disheartened with his missed chance, but did admit that he lost a bet he had made with Massimiliano Allegri that he would score every penalty he took in the 2018/19 campaign.
"It's true I had a bet with my coach on scoring every penalty this season," he said, according to The Independent.
"I'm ready to keep it. It makes me happy to know that my contribution is appreciated by my coach and teammates.
"They really welcomed me very well and I want to repay their trust and support with hard work."
Ronaldo has scored 16 goals and assisted a further eight strikes in 27 matches for the Bianconeri since joining the club in July 2018.
