The 34-year-old put in another Man of the Match performance after scoring four times in A Selecao's 5-1 win over Lithuania this week.
He is one of the final three nominees for this year's Fifa The Best Men's Player award – alongside Virgil van Dijk and Lionel Messi – and is expected also to be in the running for the 2019 Ballon d'Or, and he spoke about his chances of winning the latter after his latest match for Portugal.
"As I always say, I don't live football thinking about individual prizes," he said, as quoted by Marca.
"That comes as a result of what is won collectively. But it's good, I won't lie."
Ronaldo, who has now scored 93 goals for his national team, was also asked how much longer he thinks he can produce performances of the highest calibre.
"I feel good. I am proud to represent my national team.," he explained.
"I'm not only happy because of the goals I've scored, but also because of the level the national team has been at in recent years."
Ronaldo's four-goal haul saw him break Robbie Keane's record for the player with the most goals in Uefa European Championship qualifiers.
