One of the most important people in world football has hailed Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, and believes LaLiga needs to replace him.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino recently praised the Portuguese for being a player who inspires many, and said that Spain's top division will need another player to fill his boots, although he feels Real will still be a dangerous team in the 2018/19 season even without him.
"Cristiano is a 'crack', one of those players who make us dream," Infantino said, according to Cadena Ser.
"That he is not playing in Spain any more means that Spanish football will have to look for someone to replace him. But I am convinced that Madrid have great players, champions.
"A team that loses Cristiano Ronaldo is weaker than a team with Ronaldo, but those white shirts have a phenomenal force.
"Madrid still have a spectacular team and a very strong coach in (Julen) Lopetegui... so I believe this will be another good year for Real Madrid."
Ronaldo scored 450 goals in 438 matches for the Spanish giants, and won four UEFA Champions Leagues and two LaLiga titles, among other silverware, with Los Blancos too.
