'Ronaldo Introduced Me To Nandos!'

A former Manchester United midfielder has revealed what it was like playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, and also jokingly explained how the Portuguese superstar introduced him to a famous South African restaurant chain.

Former Cameroon international Eric Djemba-Djemba, who made his Red Devils debut in the same match Ronaldo did, has now revealed that he enjoyed a close relationship with the Portuguese superstar.

Speaking to American Gambler recently, Djemba-Djemba shared some insight into what it was like training and playing alongside Ronaldo.

"People can watch Ronaldo on the television, but they don't know the real Cristiano," the Cameroonian said.

"Cristiano is a man, who had a difficult time as a kid in football. People see him on the television and think he is arrogant or takes the [expletive] out of people, but Cristiano is an emotional man.

"You need to talk to him to see who he really is. My mum passed away and he said, 'Eric, if you need me, you can call me, you can visit me, don't worry, I am here for you'.

"When we went to away games, we were roommates. He was my best friend. We were together every single day for training."
