Ronaldo Named Serie A's Best Player, Included In Team of The Year

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has been named Footballer of the Year in Italy and was also included in the Team of the Year.

A special edition of the of the Gran Galà del Calcio was held on Friday, which is an event organised by the Italian Footballers' Association.

Ronaldo played a key role in Juventus' lifting a ninth successive Serie A title after scoring an impressive 31 goals in 33 appearances.

As a result, the Portuguese star has been named Male Footballer of the Year for the 2019/2020 campaign while Juventus Womens' star Cristiana Gireli was named Female Footballer of the Year.

Ronaldo is the first player to win the Footballer of the Year award back-to-back since Andrea Pirlo won it in consectuive years between 2012 to 2014.
