Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken about the prospect about retiring from football, and seemingly dropped a bombshell that it could be sooner than expected.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was speaking to Portuguese television station TVI on Tuesday when he was asked about his plans for the future.
"I don't think about that," Ronaldo said, as reported by AS.
"Maybe I can leave my career next year, but I can also play up to 40 or 41. I don't know. What I always say is to enjoy the moment. The gift is excellent and I have to continue to enjoy it."
Ronaldo, 34, has showed no signs of slowing down, and won Serie A's Most Valuable Player award in his debut campaign with Juventus last season.
The former Manchester United and Real Madrid star scored 21 goals in 31 appearances for the Bianconeri as they retained their league title, and he says he remains motivated by making history and breaking records.
"Are there any football players who have more records than me?" Ronaldo asked.
"I don't think there are any footballers who have more records than me."
Ronaldo was also recently nominated for the Uefa Men's Player of the Year award, alongside long-time rival Lionel Messi and Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk.
