Cristiano Ronaldo Comments On Sharing Ballon D'Or Dominance With Lionel Messi
Real Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo, who recently won his fifth Ballon d'Or, has now spoken about sharing the dominance for the award with FC Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi.
The Portugal international has insisted he is not consumed by the idea of winning another Ballon d'Or, but added that his and Messi's 10-year dominance of the accolade has been good for football.
"I'm not obsessed with that because I didn't even expect to win the five that I have won," he told Chinese outlet Doonqiudi at Valdebebas.
"It is good, though, and between myself and Messi, we have shared the Ballon d'Or for the last 10 years."
Messi and the 32-year-old have claimed the prestigious award five times each since 2008, with Kaka being the last player, besides aforementioned pair, to win the prize.
