Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo may end the season without any major silverware, but he is still chasing two incredible personal records.
The Portuguese currently sits on 45 strikes in La Liga and would need to score two goals in the last league game against Getafe to set up a new career high.
His previous best goal return in the league came in 2011/12 when he hit the back of the net 46 times.
In addition, he can also break the record for most goals scored in all competitions. He currently boasts 58 strikes, just two short of his personal best from 2011/12 - with 60 goals.
In the first round of fixtures this season, Ronaldo scored a brace at Getafe, and if he repeats this return he would break one personal record and equal the other.
In his previous nine games against Getafe, Ronaldo scored 15 goals and assisted a further four.
If he scored his eighth hat-trick of the current campaign, after scoring three trebles in his last nine games, he would break both personal milestones.
