Ronaldo Breaks UCL All-Time Record

Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has once again written his name into the history books after breaking another UEFA Champions League all-time record.

The Portuguese netted his side's opener inside three minutes against Juventus on Tuesday night, scoring in his 10th successive UCL match.

In doing so, Ronaldo broke Ruud van Nistelrooy's all-time record of scoring in nine successive games in the competition. The Dutchman set the record back in 2003 during his time at Manchester United, scoring 12 goals in nine consecutive UCL fixtures.

Meanwhile, Ronaldo, who also scored his side's second with a superb bicycle kick and assisted Marcelo's goal to make it 3-0, has now scored 16 goals in his past 10 UCL games. His record run started in last year's Champions League final against Juventus, when the 33-year-old scored a brace.

He then added two doubles against APOEL and Borussia Dortmund before netting one apiece in Real's two group stage games against Tottenham Hotspur, and finishing the group stage with another brace against APOEL and a solitary strike against BVB. He then scored another double in the first leg of Los Blancos' round of 16 tie against Paris Saint-Germain, before equalling Van Nistelrooy's record with one strike in the second leg against the French giants.

The opener against Juventus was Ronaldo's eighth goal in six appearances against the Italian giants, while his incredible second strike took that record to nine.
