A Juventus legend has hailed Cristiano Ronaldo for the remarkable success he has had in the UEFA Champions League, claiming the Portuguese is bigger than any manager he plays under.
Tevez On The Difference Between Messi & Ronaldo
The former Real Madrid talisman is the only player in world football to have won the Champions League five times, with his last three coming in his last three seasons at Los Blancos.
While Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero believes Zinedine Zidane did a great job at the Santiago Bernabeu, he feels Ronaldo was more important to Real's success in Europe.
"Even if the coach's merit in winning titles is greater than the players, I don't think there is any coach more important than CR7 and I say that even though I think Zizou (Zidane) did an extraordinary job – above all expectations," he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"He's an extraordinary champion and has the mentality that only the greatest sportspeople have, and he will know how to make it contagious."
