Cristiano Ronaldo beat longstanding rival Lionel Messi to the 600 club career goals mark, but overall the two superstars have scored an incredible 1 350 times between them.

The Juventus superstar netted his 600th goal in the 800th game of his club career during his side's 1-1 draw with Inter Milan.

It was his 27th strike for Juventus this season, with his other goals coming from spells at Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Ronaldo was at his lethal best at Los Blancos, where he netted 450 times in 438 games, making him the club's all-time record goalscorer. In addition, he scored 118 goals in 292 appearances for United, plus five in 30 matches for Sporting in the early days of his career.

Messi, in comparison, sits on 600 goals in 683 games for FC Barcelona after netting a brace against Liverpool on Wednesday night. The Argentine averages 0.88 goals per game for Barcelona, while Ronaldo average 0.75 goals in his club career.

If we take the goals for their national teams into account – Ronaldo has 85 for Portugal and Messi 65 for Argentina – the former ranks 20 strikes ahead of the latter in terms of all goals scored in their senior careers.

The Juve and A Selecao striker has netted 685 times for club and country, while the Barca and Albiceleste captain has struck 665 times for club and country.

As a consequence, together, the two superstars have scored an incredible 1 350 goals between them in 32 seasons of combined senior football.
