'Comparing Paulo Dybala To Lionel Messi Is Unfair'
A former Real Madrid and FC Barcelona star believes that although Paulo Dybala is one of the brightest talents in football, it is unfair to compare him to Blaugrana superstar Lionel Messi.
Click through the mini-gallery above to see five players who have been dubbed as the "next Messi", according to various publications.
The 24-year-old has dazzled the world with his performances since his move to Juventus from Palermo in 2015, and has often been tipped as the heir to his fellow countryman.
Michael Laudrup, a former Denmark international, does not agree with the comparisons between the two players as he feels there will never be another player who can replicate what Messi does.
"He's (Dybala) a talent," Laudrup told Omnisport.
"The problem, I think, is that he's from Argentina and he's another player that people like to say could be the next Messi.
"No, there is no next Messi now. To see the next Messi, we'll have to wait. I don't think I'll see the next Messi in my lifetime.
"You don't see a player like that every 10 years, or every 15. Maybe we'll have to wait 25, 30 years, 50 years to see another player like that. This is the standard you use sometimes.
"He (Dybala) is from Argentina, he's left-footed, he's not so tall, the way he is moving.
"But I don't think it benefits him that he's compared to Messi because he is no Messi. He is a very talented player, but he is no Messi."
Dybala has made 145 Serie A appearances in his career so far, scoring 60 goals and assisting 30 further strikes.
