With Cristiano Ronaldo having not featured for Portugal since the 2018 FIFA World Cup, head coach Fernando Santos has now provided an update on the Juventus star's future with the team.
Santos has opted to rest Ronaldo following the World Cup, and the European champions have been doing just fine with the forward – A Selecao are unbeaten in five matches, and were the first team to advance to the UEFA Nations League semi-finals.
Despite Ronaldo's lengthy absence from the squad, Santos has insisted the five-time Ballon d'Or winner is still a member of the side.
"There is no doubt. If you still have doubts, I don't know," Santos told reporters, according to FourFourTwo.
"But Cristiano Ronaldo is part of this team."
